G&L (1980)
In 1980, after the great success of the Music Man, Leo Fender, for a series of corporate problems, also left this company and founded a new one, the G&L: G like George Fullerton, his close collaborator since the time of the first Fender, and L as Leo.
These are the latest creations of a genius who, passed away in 1991, has left an essential legacy for any bass player. With the G&L models, Leo Fender confirms the research in active electronics developed in the Music Man, but always in the wake of the solid and quality lutherie tradition he invented.
