Strap Pin
These are two side-hollowed metal cylinders screwed into the body. One is on the edge of the body, at the bridge’s level; the other one is on the upper horn of the body. The strap gets hung to them and so the bass can be played while standing. Also when seated the strap guarantees more control on the instrument.
The strap lock devices are warmly recommended. They are used together with some safety locks on the strap. Their aim is to prevent the strap from unhooking suddenly from the bass.
